Black Manitoba Network Scholarship Program Application Form
Black Manitoba Network is launching its scholarship program for people of African descent. Have you completed secondary school, and are you pursuing posts secondary studies in one of the following fields?
- Science,
- Mathematics, and Engineering
- Education and Health,
- Humanities, and Social Sciences or Trades.
You have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship by submitting your application.
Please note that an independent jury will determine the recipient in each category based on the following criteria:
- Academic profile
- Community service
- Career goals
- Financial need.
Applicants must submit a resume, a cover letter of fewer than 400 words, and a recent transcript by July 31, 2026. The awards will be presented in the fall of 2026, and the winners will be announced by August, 2026

Scholarship Fund
We are deeply invested in the future of Black students in Manitoba. By contributing to our scholarship endowment fund, managed by the Winnipeg Foundation, we ensure students and apprentices can pursue post-secondary education.
Through scholarships, we assist Black students in navigating post-secondary education and transitioning into successful careers.
This initiative helps close the opportunity gap by ensuring that talented Black students have the financial support and guidance they need to succeed, addressing the systemic barriers that often limit their access to education and professional networks.
